Author’s Note: This fic was written for the Everlasting Birthday Challenge at deancastiel. Here is the prompt: To all the world, Cas Milton/Novak/Engel/Other Random Surname appears to be just an average guy. Average height, average build, brown hair, blue eyes, etc. He always dresses nicely for his job at the local newspaper, and he even has a pair of really unfashionable glasses. There is absolutely nothing spectacular about him at all.


His colleague on the other hand, photographer Dean Winchester, is the object of many affections. He's handsome, smart, funny--everything Cas is not. Or so it would seem. When Dean takes on a new off-the-books assignment, photographing a masked vigilante whose been prowling the city (not to mention plaguing his thoughts night and day) everything that Cas has fought to hide may be put in serious jeopardy.
