Author’s Note: This fic was written for the Everlasting Birthday Challenge at deancastiel. Here is the prompt: To all the world, Cas Milton/Novak/Engel/Other Random Surname appears to be just an average guy. Average height, average build, brown hair, blue eyes, etc. He always dresses nicely for his job at the local newspaper, and he even has a pair of really unfashionable glasses. There is absolutely nothing spectacular about him at all.


His colleague on the other hand, photographer Dean Winchester, is the object of many affections. He's handsome, smart, funny--everything Cas is not. Or so it would seem. When Dean takes on a new off-the-books assignment, photographing a masked vigilante whose been prowling the city (not to mention plaguing his thoughts night and day) everything that Cas has fought to hide may be put in serious jeopardy. That's right. I want some gay superhero fic

I love superhero Cas!! It's just so perfect and Dean as his partner at work and how they work so well together is just awesome.
I love the characterzation of Cas, he's humble but so Cas like it's beautiful.

I really hope you continue with this universe. XD

I saw the prompt and I was just inspired. Cas is basically a superhero on the show.

I just read this and I absolutely love it! It's so perfect and in character, and it made me realize how much I'm apparently a sucker for superhero!fic. <3<3<3

I love superhero!fic. I had been wanting to write this story for some time, so I'm glad you enjoyed it. I never realized how difficult it was to write these characters still in character out of the Supernatural universe.

There is a sequel, or at least, many shorter stories planned. I just have to take the time to sit and write.
