Rewriting Herstory

I think by now, a lot of people have heard about the earthquake in Japan.

There is a tsunami warning everywhere that touches the Pacific.

I have a lot of family in Hawaii and the Philippines.

I hope they're all all right.

I don't think that I'm sleeping tonight. I wish that I was home right now... 

EDIT: 10:40 Hawaii time... And now there's a tsunami warning for Oregon? Oh my goodness.

Author’s Note: So I needed to take another break from my dc_everafter  fic and I saw this prompt on the spn_balthazar comment fic meme for a prompt by lookatmyjunk . It got a little lengthy. Here is the prompt: Balthazar/Castiel/Dean = Balthazar, in a rare display of unselfish behavior, saves Dean and/or Castiel because of how much Cas means to him.
Not necessarily romantic.

So, at this point, after nearly a month of writing my dc_everafter story, it has gotten a little out of hand.

I am about 85-90 percent finished. 

And at this point, this behemoth of a story is just under 35,000 words. O_o 

Oh my gosh.

But I know that it doesn't sound like that big of a deal to some people, you know, about 1000 words a day, but I am honestly surprised with myself. I've also been writing other things, so it's more than that a day. Inspiration and awesome prompts are freaking awesome. I'm planning on finishing it by this week so I can let it sit for a week before I start to read over it again and start changing everything up. Hopefully not.

Author’s Note: Just something that came to me. I had to write something else because my brain needed a break from my dc_everafter  story. This is what it cranked out.
Author’s Note #2: I guess I want to say this if for kaiyote  because she’s been reading some fic with Balthazar that she hasn’t liked the result. I hope this turns out okay. Also for squishyball  and rogueslayer452 . Who, with their constant talk of Balthazar, have made me want to write a story with him in it.

( He walked over to Castiel, getting into his personal space. For once Castiel looked like he was the uncomfortable one.  )

I have recovered from my stomach flu. Gosh that was miserable. I hate feeling sick, and that was the worst I've felt in years. But I'm feeling better. Now I just feel gross because I haven't worked out in almost a week. Sad. 

So my dc_everafter story is over 23,000 words right now. Oh my goodness. O_o
I just hope it turns out well. And I have no idea how long it's going to turn out in the end. 

Oh, so I've written a Dean/Castiel/Balthazar story. It didn't start out that way. It started out as an apology story between Dean and Cas, and then somehow... Oh my goodness. It was because I needed a break from my everafter story. I think it turned out okay for writing it in one night. Have to read over it once more before I post it. I think it's because of all of the posts by kaiyote , rogueslayer452 , and squishyball .

( I've joined two new communities. I think my love of Misha is starting to show. Oh well...  )

Speaking of this week's episode, I can't even think of the words to say about it. Emotional rollercoaster, it was. I think that's the safest thing to say. 

So my rooommate is slowly turning me into a germaphobe. Which I'm a little surprised that it didn't happen sooner since my mom is a nurse and my dad is a chef. But seriously. It's really crappy because we are both passive aggressive people. You can only imagine how that is turning out. GRRRG...

But seriously. I don't like living with girls because they are way too much drama. But guys are dirty. And I know I'm not the cleanest person in the universe, but seriously... I just hope I'm not just being a brat and finding hundreds of little things to complain about.

But onto some good news or something more positive. Have you ever received a message or a text or a comment from someone you haven't heard from in over a year, but as soon as you read it, you can't help but smile and feel good inside for the rest of the day?
I'm going through one of those moments right now. It feels great. ( :) )

It's been a good last few days. On Sunday, I had an awesome adventure with one of my good friends Eric. We went to lunch together, and then we saw not one, but two movies. I laughed because he ended up spending fifty bucks. So we saw the new Adam Sandler movie, Just Go With It, and the Channing Tatum and Jamie Bell movie, The Eagle.

Okay, about the Grammys. So I learned a few things. I learned that Gnarles Barkley was a group. I was in shock that I didn't realize it before. Then I realized that the person who I thought was Gnarles Barkley was actually Cee Lo Green. Then I felt dumb because in my mind I was wondering why those two sounded so much like each other. Gosh... But besides that, the Cee Lo Green/Muppets/Gwyneth Paltrow performance at the Grammys was amazing. I love love loved it! :) For you to watch if you didn't get the chance to. Yay for an Elton John Tribute!!! 



I finished writing my two stories for d_hearts_c , or at least the first drafts. I just need to let it sit and read over it a couple of times before my posting date. I also just finished my first draft on the next Vegas!Verse story. I now have to get to work on my dc_everafter  piece. I have it outlined and started writing it.

I have figured myself out when it comes to writing. Okay, not really , but a small part. I have limited myself to finishing one story before I can even think about starting another one. I mean, I can make the Word Document and write out the prompt, but that it is. I realized that one of the reasons I can't finish a story is because I usually have at least 3 Word Documents open on my computer. According to the math, I am 25% likely to finish a story. But now, I have to finish the first draft of a story before starting another. Writing one story at a time. Baby steps. 

Now, I know that only one of my friends on LJ actually watches General Hospital, but it was just an observation I made. I really don't like Carly. I loved her when Tamara Braun played her. I just watched a scene on youtube that nearly brought me to tears. I remember watching that scene on TV. Now, Carly just irritates me. And I know that it has to do with the writing. Why do I keep watching this show?!

And General Hospital. They keep talking about Jerry Jax. I know it doesn't sound like much to a lot of you, but he was played by Sebastian Roche. He was a fun character. Hopefully he'll be back if Supernatural doesn't decide to keep him. 

I think I watch too much TV. Actually, I know I do. But it's better than watching my roommate play Mass Effect 2. Boys and their games.

I think I've spieled enough.

( *rolls eyes* )

So, life is funny, because my roommate may have gotten his ex-girlfriend's car either stolen or towed. I know I shouldn't be laughing, but I didn't like her very much. He was supposed to watch it while she was on the other side of the country for a semester. Not that I wanted her car stolen or towed, but the timing is really weird, you know? And my roommate (who is a guy) didn't notice it was missing until yesterday when I noticed it missing on Sunday. The only reason I didn't tell him was because I thought that he moved it because not ten minutes before, he was talking about how he moved her car every once in awhile. I don't know what the big deal is, though. The car was a piece of crap.

In other roommate news, 

I convinced my roommate that we needed to go on a roadtrip to get his mind off of breaking up with his girlfriend. I told him that we needed to drive down to LA tomorrow. He agreed. I just wanted to go to LA Con... I realized that it's too much money that we both don't have right now. So until next time, LA Con. I was thisclose. 

Since I'm not going to school this semester, I've been writing a lot. And me, being my ridiculous self, signed up for two challenges.
