Fic: The Earth and Heaven to You (Epilogue)

Epilogue

So, Dean became a Hunter and Castiel became an Angel again. Together they decided to be the guardians of the Human plane. Or Earth as those on the Human plane know it.

It was a good deal, because Dean could stay at Missouri and Rufus’ home whenever he was on Earth because he had the ability to transport now that he was a Hunter. And of course, Castiel had his wings. So they had a home while they were on Earth and could just flit off to wherever when they were needed.

And now that Dean was a Hunter so he could go onto the Hunter plane whenever he wanted.

The Heaven and Hunter plane were in huge party mode for a good decade, their time. They had a ton to celebrate. They found Dean who became a Hunter. They found Castiel and got him his wings and grace back. And Michael went down to Hell and taught Lucifer a lesson.

The planes were in peace again. Well, not Hell, but when is Hell ever in peace. I don’t really know what happened to Lucifer, but then again, we don’t care.

Rufus and Missouri were given a place in Heaven when it was their time. Bobby and Pastor Jim came out of retirement. But they did decide to stay on Earth. It was smart of them, you know. Keep their powers. Sam kept training, wanting to become as strong as his brother. But he never forgot the first fight they had when he flattened him.

So I guess that’s the end of the story. The two of them got their happy ending and they freaking deserved it too.

And they lived… existed? If the being is immortal is it still called living? Oh well, they lived and continue to live happily ever after.

Dean and Castiel made a life on the Human plane, the Heaven, and the Hunter plan. They spend a lot of time on the Hunter plane, even taking the time to listen to some guy tell a story or two.

Well, that’s the real end of my story. Thank you all for listening. Have a good life. Or existence. It was nice seeing you all and see you again some time.

LRLRLRLRLRLRLR

Dean and Castiel flew out of the room before the others realized that they were there. They knew that they had Chuck’s attention, and that’s all they wanted.

Castiel had flown them to their house in Kansas. “He tells a good story,” he said. He looked over his shoulder and smiled.

Dean walked behind him and wrapped his arms around Castiel’s waist. Castiel laced his fingers in between Dean’s. “I’m glad that he left out a few things.” He kissed Castiel on the cheek.

“Like what?”

“Like what happened the second we got back down to Earth.”

“Remind me,” Castiel whispered.

Dean’s hands trailed down Castiel’s sides. “Sure thing.” In a blink, Dean took them to their bedroom.

The End

I just finished reading all this, AND GODS I LOVE THIS SO MUCH! It was such an epic emotional roller coaster! *_*
And the length of this made me squee, I love long fics! :D

Castiel is so selfless, the poor thing sacrifices everything for love and not letting anyone know about it *sigh* He deserves so much love! Dean is such a lucky guy ^^ ♥
I adore how you included the handprint too, and Missouri/Rufus ^^ haha!

The ending melted me, it's so happy and perfect!
I probably will read this whole story again in this weekend XD Love it, love it, LOVE IT!!

That was wonderful! I love the mythology you've woven between the two canons - full and rich and loads of fun to get to know.

I love this fic to bits and pieces, especially Cas, he was so adorable... One thing to critise though: please, next time WARN for additional pairings, like that short scene between Uriel and Castiel, I almost threw up my lunch. No matter how short and non-graphic a scene like that is, you should warn people about it, cause I for one almost stopped reading your fic at that point. I'm glad I didn't, but still.

I am completely in love with this! You did such a wonderful job of fusing Hercules (I keep fighting the temptation to say Heracles, damn those Romans) and Supernatural! It was funny, well-characterized, and beautifully written, which is a feat for nearly 50k of writing. The Castiel dies scene...I saw it coming, having often watched Disney's Hercules as a child, but the way you described everything was so provocative that I got a little teary, which is a testament to how great this is. <33

As an unrelated side-note, isn't it weird how Disney takes the story of brutal Hercules beating his wife, Megara, to death and makes it a happily ever after? Such is the way of Disney, I suppose. xD

Wow, that was a huge emotional rollercoaster, all those dips and highs and happiness and sadness and near-misses. I'm glad I prompted Hercules, to get such an epic story out of it. :D

Sorry for the delayed comment, I was saving it for a time where I could sit down and read the whole thing in one setting.

Ah, I absolutely loved this! I had to finish the entire thing here and now, without pause. It was a wonderful rendition of the classic story and I positively LOVE how well you melded all of the concepts and themes into the world of Angels, Hunters, and Demons into the old story. It was so well done it almost seemed like you made the entire story woven from your own thread! So fascinating.

It was beautiful the way Dean and Cas' relationship progressed, and it didn't seem rushed at all. Their banter, beginning and end was just so well written and snarky. I especially loved Cas' own sense of humor. And the detail you put into this story as well to make it true to the original was brilliant. The detail of Dean rescuing Cas from Hell was also very amazing and touching and it really pulled me as a reader into the story.

Ah, and happy endings! I can't help sighing in happiness at the perfect-ness of your ending, it brought everything together and it was so sweet, and happy! I'm a sucker for this stuff, really.

So, I loved this. It was SO worth the read and I enjoyed it immensely. And I'll be listening to "I Won't Say I'm in Love" very shortly, because your title has it stuck in my head. XD Amazing work with this, it was an amazing fairy tale!!

Read it all in one afternoon (only stopping for tea and bathroom breaks) and luuuuurrrrrvvvved it! When reading Cas's backstory I really felt for him, and it was awesome that Sam and Dean still managed to annoy the crap out of one another, hunter or not. :)

Oh, and:

“He has nothing to do with this,” Michael replied. “He is none of your concern.”
“But he is, Michael,” Lucifer said. “This Human single-handedly ruined my overthrow.”

I can almost hear Lucifer literally whining that last part! XD
